Joshua Beckman was born in New Haven, Connecticut. He is the author of many books, including The Lives of the Poems and Three Talks, The Inside of an Apple, Take It, Shake, and two collaborations with Matthew Rohrer: Nice and Adventures While Preaching the Gospel of first book, Things Are Happening, won the inaugural APR/Honickman First Book Prize. These poems were created in live improvisational collaboration at The Bowery Poetry Club in New York City. Memorious has chosen to present the poems in audio format so one can experience them as they were intended to be heard, with the listener brought into the pauses, seeking his or her own words to fill the space of what’s to come.
